Default New South Park episode about Harley riders.

Not to be taken seriously and nothing against Harley riders!

It is pretty funny though. Here is a link (the show is legal to watch online):

http://www.southparkstudios.com/episodes/251889

Enjoy!

OMG, I caught the end of that last night. A friend sent me a text and said dude switch it to south park. Idk about the whole episode but the when they start talking, then go off in the middle of a sentence making noises like theyre riding their HD's and then start reving on their bikes OMG, I could not stop laughing. The part where there outside of town just before theye decided they had to go back and kick some ass and the guy was on his bike making the noise's while the guy was trying to talk, OMG I almost fell off the couch I was laughing so hard.

I'm not one for crude humor, but what I saw of it was pretty darn funny in parts.

There's only one inaccuracy in that episode... running Harleys.

LMAO! "bike curious"

You know though, there is an important message at the end that applies to ALL riders, and not just to those who ride Harleys. I wonder how many out there will hear and understand that message...

Dont be too quick to bash HD.Every bike will have problems sooner or later.I ride an 08' 1100 silverado with just over 24k,it's latest problem is a faulty kickstand switch.

Even though they refer to the riders as "harley riders" I'm pretty sure they are bashing anyone with a loud bike. Either way I dont care this is still freaking hilarious. HAHAHA The official definition at the end, LOL.

Yeah, and My shadow needs replacement of the cables. I only pick on Harleys because there seems to be a minor little war (all in good fun mind you, no actual hatred involved) between Harley owners and non-Harley owners. The only reasons I do not choose a Harley is cost, comfort, and how much I would have to do to the bike to make it the way I wanted it. For those who choose them, they do make good bikes.

Wendy's audition song for the Boy Band. That is the best. I better find the link for that. Well, here's the lyrics:

The new Harley episode, not that funny, in that it is just too too true. But ... bike curious? Oh, that got me.
But, I'm only half way thru' ...

I’m not sure which message near the end you are referring to Anime. Butters equation of American biker with freedom and independence, or embrace what you are, by the biker leader?
1. Independence and freedom are not 9 to 5 job, and weekend warrior, as most motorcyclists are. That is wage slave, or job slave. No freedom, really.
2. If you embrace what you are you do not need to defend it, and I have never seen anyone, more vehemently and violently and angrily defend what they are, than the Harley biker. Thus, they can only be insecure, not sure of who/what they are.

Rusty, he’s only joking about ‘running Harleys’. Any bike can have a problem. But a faulty stand switch is about the smallest possible problem, like a fly speck?

Baller. For sure, any noisy bike, particularly these fools who stop at the stop light and needlessly crank the throttle, like an idiot, VROOM VROOM VROOM. Waste of gas.

Well, you gotta look deeper than the actual words. If you look at it from the standpoint that ALL bikers value their freedom, ant that their bikes are symbols of that freedom, then the point starts to come into focus.

My fav South Park song has to be the Terrance & Philip song from the South Park movie. I can't remember the whole song... but the first two lines go something like this:

"Shut your ******* face uncle******!
Your a bonifying *******, uncle******!"

Somehow, they take perversion and horribleness, and make it into something that is hilarious!

They also have a full version under Terrence & Phillip Remix, with more than one version.
I had not seen that one before. Insane.
Killing the cougar mother, and the blood orgy, and giving birth to the savior, etc., was another hilarious one.
I have never seen the full length feature film. I ought to get that. I need a good laugh. But some of the tv show was so funny I almost choked to death.

I knew this was gunna be a thread before I ever even opened my web browser LOL

To me... that episode was refering to what some of us commonly refer to as Yuppies....

basically.... people that only ride the things because they want the attention and think they are cool for doing so.

"If you embrace what you are you do not need to defend it,"

True, but you may need to defend your physical person because of it.

(Or just keep all the pontificating on the Internet where it's safe to do so.)

Is he a douche bag because he rides a Harley or a douche bag that happens to also ride a Harley? (I've met plenty of both types, come to think of it.)

In either case, why don't you go tell HIM what your opinion is?

I'm a pretty non-conforontational guy. If I ever have a chance to speak with him, I doubt I would mention it. It really doesn't bother me -- I only mentioned it because I saw it in the episode and I felt like it was relevant.

Does him revving his engine in the neighborhood make him a douche? In my opinion, yes. I try to be super-respectful when driving through any neighborhood, especially my own. I feel like we all should. Out there on the street I don't rev my engine unnecessarily, and I wouldn't because there's no benefit. I don't want people to look over and think those things.

So I guess the question isn't

There are about 1000 differences between Harley biker guys and yuppies.
Most of your yuppies would probably ride a BMW? There are poser Harley guys, as opposed to real, dyed in the wool Harley guys.
But this episode, I think, is directed at Harley guys who are trying to portray the all american tough guy image that they think other people want to imitate.

I don't see myself as a "Harley Guy". I just happen to ride one. I never bought into the whole lifestyle thing.

Okay, gotcha. I didn't see the episode so I missed the relevance. Makes sense.

"The question I'd like answered is does he ride a Harley because he's a douche?"

Could be. But that doesn't mean that ALL douche bags ride Harley's. Some can't afford them, or don't like them and choose to ride other things. <chuckle>

why when he referred to his neighbour as a harley riding douchebag does it have to cause a kefuffle... obviously the statement is true. He was riding a harley, into a residential area, and acts like a douchebag by revving it up without reason.

its not limited to harleys...

I have noticed a trend with v-twin riders and revving once stopping though :P just a odd thing that seems to happen. every time I see a ducati/harley/jap-v/korean-v rider stop at various places its always

bububububu BRUUUUU *off*

as long as its not while im trying to sleep, and it sounds good (no sewing machines or farty noises) im all happy.

Wait!! Do they actually say Harley in the whole show? Or just noisy motorcycles, and we all just presume they mean Harley?
Because for sure, the excess noise is not at all limited to just Harley.
No, first scene, he says on their Harley motorcycles.

It was an ok episode, I think I liked it a lot more than I would have otherwise because of the subject. In the beginning when they are all just riding around revving incessantly, that really said it all. I think the reactions were honest too, as cool as you may feel making noise, no one else thinks it's cool.

Im just saying that what I got from it...

I was disappointed that they grouped all harley riders together though... it would have been nice if there was at least one guy on a bike that wasnt acting like a "fag".... but I understand that would complicate the storyline more..

I though it was freaken hillarious what little I had time to watch. I did save the link and hope to watch the rest of it later. Funny stuff there. I could give or take SP. Sometimes its funny other times its just juvenile stupid.

I was impressed with the better then most authenticty of the bikes(harleys) and cuts and stuff. Usually animators thrown any thing up there and call it an HD.
