Is it true that the only differences are:
The ER-6n is naked. The ER-6n only comes in blue. The ER-6n costs a few hundred less. I was sitting on bikes today, and I really fell in love with this one. Opinions? |

I think you are right about it being naked, as for the color thing you might need to google that. Glad you found something you like. Which one did you like better.

They are very similar, but I love the naked look (on bikes!
). Also, the headlight design is different in a good way. Here is the website: kawasaki.com/Products/product-specifications.aspx?id=373Honestly, the pictures don't do it justice. It's this gorgeous pearlescent blue. I mean, wow. ![]() |

Well, I was planning on getting a red one, but the blue would match my car. And, when I sat on it, it made me happy. That sounds stupid, but it's true.

Not stupid at all, if it makes you happy thats all that ever matters.

The other difference is that the ER-6N is generally shorter than the Ninja 650R -- 2" shorter seat height and a few inches shorter overall.
I love my Ninja. You'll have a blast on the ER-6N. As an aside, anyone think it's a bad idea to name a motorcycle "ER?" |

Hmm, well I'm 5'11, do you think that's okay? I sat on it with my feet on the pegs, and it felt great. Also, I aced my MSF test today!

It was great! Two grueling days, but totally worth it. I had never even sat on a motorcyle, but now, I have the basics down.

^ Well, you have the basics sort of practiced in a controlled, low-speed environment. Don't get ahead of yourself
![]() I think either bike would be fine for you and you should get whichever you prefer. At 5'11", you'll be able to fit on all but the very tallest bikes. |

Oh, I mean the basics enough to ride around my cul-de-sac and then perhaps my neighborhood after that. I won't be street riding for a while.

From what I was told at the Kawi dealership yes the ER-6n only comes in blue. I do like the look of it.

I just passed my MSF course and am 5"11' as well. The Er-6n feels perfect and makes me happy too. You might want to go to a Suzuki dealer and sit on a Gladius. It felt just as good if not better.
