thunderhorse!!! mwahahaha it's good to see somebody else likes metalocalypse \m/\m/

seafoam used to be like 6.50 a can and now it's nearly 9, i don't quite understand why because it wasn't that high last year when oil was so high.

i generally run 1/3 can to 5 gallons in the tank, never bothered doing it with the other methods.

I never heard of SEAFOAM until I joined this forum.

I'm not one who puts a lot of faith in additives such as SEAFOAM. But if it works,....

As for the price increase, my guess would be that the demand for the stuff
has gone up enough the company that makes SEAFOAM raised the price.

Seafoam works very good. I also use a product in my daily driven car/quarter mile track car called " Mopar combustion chamber cleaner " it's essentially the same thing but in a pressurized spray can which makes it easy to spray directly into throttle bodies. it also goes for about $10 from a dealer so if anyone wants this stuff in a spray can go check it out.

I really like Berryman B12 Chemtool. Many people say it works better than Seafoam, and its a fraction of the cost of a can of Seafoam.

I have used the Mopar product and it does work.
I use on a regular basis. I would recommend it to anyone.
GM has a similar product they use and it also works well.

I've seen it referenced a lot here too. What exactly does Seafoam do?

whoa.....banana sticker hahahaha

seafoam, in theory, dissolves built up gunk from gasoline in carbs and fuel injectors, and anywhere else you could possibly get it in a motor.

can be put in gas tank, throttle body, or even engine oil. might even drink some and see if it cleans me out >_>

for your viewing:

and YES! it is purchased in that very can-design! It looks like something that your dad might have used back when he was a young engine monkey.

Great stuff but I will still would never put it in my oil, it has alcohol which will thin out the oil.

Of all the solvents in Seafoam, you're concerned about alcohol? Every component of Seafoam will thin the oil. However, it's not meant for long-term use...

well when you put it in your oil you're supposed to change it SOON after doing so. actually you might want to put some cheap oil in it and run it for a few minutes, then put in your new good oil.

at least that's how i've been told to do so.

Sea Foam. This stuff has been around since Jeezus was in diapers. Ask any commercial mariner or most farmers and they'll tell you that's it's like God in a can. It does everything besides what it's advertised to do. It's used in commercial and heavy industrial circles like WD-40 would be used around your house.

I've been running Seafoam in my bike lately, and it seems to be abit clearer in the upper RPMs. My carb's probably need a good cleaning, but I mix 2-3 caps full of Seafoam in and then fill up the tank; for the first time you may want to put more in (read the can and do some math :P). Do it every 3 or 4 tanks, and it should keep the carbs pretty clean

4oz of seafoam to a full tank of gas. it may make your bike smoke a little. not to worry, this is normal, and is a result of carbon being burned off the engines internal parts.
