I'm not sure what other words I can use to search on Google, but the above didn't turn out good. So far I used the good ol' hammer method and got my crushed muffler out, but since it was bad I didn't care, but now I need to take a good one out of its socket to install on my bike, so hammer only is out of question (it can mess up the shape real easy). So far I've tried blow torch, just not sure if I'd have to heat it up real good before trying to get it out. I've only tried a few times and around 1-2 minutes each time. What are other methods? I haven't tried WD-40 but ... I wonder if that would work, kinda dangerous with blow torch anyway so I didn't try. Any ideas?
BTW I didn't put this in repair section because ... I'm not sure if it should belong in there lol, but I'll move it if need to.

Different brands will come apart differently. Some of them weld the baffle in place, making it nearly impossible to get it out without destroying it.
Could you just replace the slip-on with the second muffler?

Well, you see: the second slip-on is from the '96 YZF, meaning it was already on something
. I need to take that off to put it on my bike. There is no brand name on it, so no idea. I could destroy the other pipe to get it out if it has to come to that. All I wanted to do was to put that muffler on to do a test run on my bike, otherwise I'd wake up the neighborhood with the noise ![]()

Last time I had to get a stuck slip on off a bike I had to really wrench er around to get er off. I strapped the rear part of the pipe to the frame just to make sure it wouldn't wiggle around and bend it. Then with that secured I grabbed the tail end of it and just started working it up and down, round and round to spread the lip out enough to finally pull it off. That of course was after loosening all the proper nuts and bolts.
