Default Moto Shell/Bike Barn

Hey,
Does anyone use one of these for their bike(s)?

I am considering getting one of these:

www.motoshell.com

Would this be good for protection of my Honda Shadow for northern Maine Spring/Summer/Fall? I don't mean good as in acceptable, I only want it if the protection is offers from water and wind is good enough where other, more expensive options are not needed.

Would this thing offer as good protection as say a 8x8 or 8x10 instant/portable garage?

-Thanks

It looks promising to me. I don't know about a bunch of snow on top of it. Might not be able to hold up the weight. I am assuming that you are keeping your bike outside.

My bike is at a storage facility, and I will not use this device, if I get it, for winter storage.

-Thanks

I think it would be great in a garage, or in a storage unit. I like it and the price isn't too outragious.

Hey,
Thanks again for the reply. I actually don't have a garage, so in summers, it would be just that thing only between the bike and the weather. I still think it may be good though.

-Thanks

I would rather have the sun and the tree sap on that than my bike. Looks good, I only wonder how it would stand up in a good stong wind?

Yeah, haha, I hope it would stand up to good wind. Do you think that this this will keep the bike perfectly dry?

-Thanks

I know my Volusia is more than 8' long. More like 8 1/2 I think. Maybe with the bars full stop it MIGHT fit but it'd be real close.

I have camped in rain storms many times. Even the best tent will not keep you PERFECTLY dry.

It would be good in florida.... here during the summer there's always rain, but for a hurricane of course... garage. I like it... It's ingenious and practical... for minor weather conditions I think it's perfect.

Thanks for the replies. It may be good here in Maine. Winters would be to harsh, but for spring, summer, and fall, we don't get too much rain, and the wind is mild.

-Thanks

I think it may get ballooned up if the bike is parked outside and its too windy.
The wind gusts may also tip over the bike inside the cover and you will never know.
