Default Need help finding right bike

Hi All,

About ready to take my MSF.

Plan on buying a bike soon after and needed some help
in picking the right one for me.

I want something that I can learn on and plan on buying a
used motorcycle for my first one. I really like the dual sports
as I could drive it on the street and take it off road as well.

Anyone have suggestions on a good dual sport for a new rider?

Thanks for your help

The KLR 650 is a great bike. It would be my personal choice. Of course there are many other options.

How tall are you? Because when I saw the KLR 650 at a dealership the other day it seemed ridiculously tall. I am 5' 10'' and I don't think that I could have flatfooted on it.

My buddy and his 5 ft tall wife both have klr650's and they love them. The shocks are adjustable IIRC and they are very springy so you probly would be alright. Also the used KLR's are pretty cheap, at least around here.
