I am almost firm on buying the tourmaster venture pants. They have an inner waterproof and winter liner and its removable. It also has a side zipper for the ease of putting on and taking it off.
Does anybody have used it before? my main concern is rain.. it should be a good waterproof one. ![]() Thanks.

Heya, I bought those pants a couple of months ago from chromekid who is on here. They are very nice. I haven't had the chance to try in cold weather yet but great to slip on and off. Like a jacket for your legs

i would find a place that stock those pants before you buy, i almost went with those to go with my TM jacket, but i didnt like the sizing. i am a 38 waist, and they combine their sizes into 34-36 or 38-40, etc. assuming they size large so you can wear pants under them i tried the 34-36, and it was way small, i could almost button them. the 38-40 was way too big for me, they would have fit better if i had the 34-36 on under them. try them before you buy.
also, dont count on waterproof pants to be waterproof, youll likely need a good rainsuit for that. i have a tourmaster sabre jacket, tourmaster gloves and joe rocket ballistic 5.0 pants, and all are supposed to be waterproof. i know my jacket doesnt work perfectly, there is a waterproof liner that keeps me from getting soaked, but the zipper on the front, despite the inner flap with a waterproof backer, lets water in. my gloves kept my hands dry and warm in one real bad rainstorm, except the gauntlet got soaked through and the dry material around my dry hands began wicking the wetness in, than took days to dry out, ive also read similar reviews about the JR pants. all of my gear will certainly be drier than nothing, or non-waterproof gear, but only keeps me about 90% dry. dont expect much more than that, or youll be disappointed in the gear you just paid good money for. i am happy with my gear, dont get me wrong, and i would still buy it knowing what i found out, but if you really want to stay dry, youll need a good rainsuit, possibly a one piece, and some glove rain covers. just my.02, hope it helps. I bought a rain jacket but the pants I see in the stores are huge. I'm still looking for some. I bought a Stearn jacket..haven't had a chance to try it out yet but I've heard it is very good. I know the liner works well, I hope the thermal liner works as well.

I got the Tourmaster Venture pants. I'm 5'6" 165lbs and I got size large; they fit nicely and I can wear pants underneath. I wanted them so I could wear normal clothes to work and put these over them. This way, I don't have to change my pants.
For cold, these are wonderful -- not sure how I rode without them. They have a removable liner that really adds to the warmth. You can remove the armor too -- as I did -- to make them less bulky. They work well as just snow pants too -- e.g. for snowblowing the driveway. So, that's more value for your money. They have an outside pocket -- so you don't have to undue them to get to your wallet. I put my wallet there so I can pay for fuel without having to undue the pants to get to my wallet. I got them late November so I have not tested the waterproof part. They have a zipper that can zip into your jacket -- not sure how folks can do that. I never use that feature. They also have velcro straps at the ankles to make a nice tight seal with your boots -- to seal out air. I can then put my feet on the highway pegs are air does not leak in. I think I paid around $120 -- don't remember exactly but it was 15% off the price they had at the moto shop. I think this is one of the best apparel items I've bought (great value); when your legs are warm, much of your body stays warm. Dennis |

I am using my tourmaster pants since past 2 months now.. have rode around 1000 miles with them and they are good, have rode in 2 rain storms and the water proofing is good. The liner does a great job in cold.
i would recommend it to anybody looking for one.

I was considering these pants as well. Does anybody know how they do in the heat. It seems like they would be pretty hot.

Anything is going to be hot in the summer. If you are moving it's not so bad...the wind goes right thru the material. It's all the stop signs and lights

I own some, at least I think they're the same ones. They're "Tourmaster" anyway. Real good for cold, and have SuperDuper Hard armour in 'em W/removable liner.
First day I wore them, I barley touched my exhaust and now, theres a 2" hole inside my right bant leg. and a ugly black spot on my exhaust I can't get off. They are pretty baggy. they remind me of a snow mobile suit. |

well they come in different sizes so you might want to get the one which best fits you over your normal pants.

I have an older ver. of the tourmasters They were very small I wear a 29-30 the pants were size 30
I can only wear my undies with them and they are still slightly tight in the legs also the liner tore the first time I tried them over a pair of pants I didn't even pull them up very hard, granted it was a small tear but a tear just the same and the zipper handle came off as well on the 2nd time I put them on. I was able to tighten it and put it back on but I still am not impressed with the zippers quality. The armor is quite good and they breath very well with out the liner.

well i wear a 30-32 and i can pretty much wear anything under it. formal pants, jeans, shorts. They are comfortable and the zippers so far have worked well. I wear it with my shoes on, no issues. I guess the zipper thing depends on piece to piece, the other day me and my brother went to buy his pant and right in the store the zipper handle of the left pocket came off. We informed the sales person there and he knocked $20 off the price. everybody is happy. his pants were not from Tourmaster though.

I just checked and I was wrong my pants were the river road brand sorry about that.
But they are very tight but the wast is not really the problem It is the legs and the crotch area I am not very fat legged so don't know why they are so tight but the Crotch is aother story I know why that is tight. and at the same time.![]() ![]() ![]()
