I have a 78 CX500 right now, and I came across this listing earlier today
http://tinyurl.com/3pbe97 and noticed that that bike came with with fuel injection... I found this quite interesting, because I would like to get something with EFI for my next bike. This is mostly influenced by how hard my bike is to start on cold/wet mornings. As the title states, I will probly want to spend 1500-2500 on whatever I get next, and I thought you guys could recommend a few specific models and years of bikes that had EFI that I could find in this price range. the Honda Interceptors from the 80s are another one I like. Has anyone ever owned one of these older bikes that comes with the EFI system? How does it do? Are they still good and reliable after this long? Any other comments/experiences with these that you'd like to share would be great. thanks -Jon |

The manufacturers are slowly moving to EFI as a standard as cars did years ago. Newer models are more likely to have EFI, but there were some pioneers out there.
The price range you have listed would limit what you can find quite a bit. Personally, I wouldn't get too hung up on what type of fuel intake the bike has and just find the best motorcycle you can get on your budget. Carbs have been around for quite a while and work pretty well most of the time.
