Unhappy i need help!!!!!! 650 classic wiring/fuse

was out riding my yamaha v star 650 and i noticed i didnt have any tail lights. the brake lights came on but no tail lights. i had LED brake/tail lights installed and the flicker constantly to improve saftey. Well i pulled down the wiring and it looked frayed like the rear tire was rubbing it till it was just wire exposed. I jigled the wire and the tail lights came on for a second then they all went out including my head lights, gauges, everything. My turn signals still worked along with the brake lights but everything else is dead. Usualy my turn sighnal lights are on all the time but now they only work when activated. Do i splice some new wire and find the fuse or what?? im lost. This is my first bike and i have no idea.. Thank you everyone

sounds to me like a combination of things going on here....
you have probably blow a fuse or two and have a grounded short with your exposed wiring
You need to fix the damaged wiring and then check the fuses. If at that time your lights still don't work correctly ,you'll need to try tracing down the broken connections

If all the wires are exposed, (from the back tire rubbing on the wires) there's a pretty good chance that they all touch, which in turn means that they all ground at the same time.

Happened to my dad once. He had to buy a new wiring harness. Then he tightened up the rear springs to that the back tire wouldn't rub against the wiring harness anymore.

Best of luck to you.
