Default Half or 3/4 helmet for glasses?!

On the flipside of that other helmet/glasses post, how about some good advice for wearing half or 3/4 helmet with glasses? Do they have goggles that go over glasses?

I don't think my contacts would stand the wind. I have prescription sunglasses, but I'm not sure they'd stand the wind either, at very high speeds. If they go flying off, not only do I lose eye protection, I go partially blind!

So.. back to goggles over glasses, which is preferable for me. Any suggestions? Please just don't make me look like Dudley on Wild Hogs!

This is a website that has prescription goggles, and also goggles that fit over glasses, I plan on getting a pair myself, but because of my prescription, I have to get the kind that have the 'script inserts.

and for what its worth, I wear a half helmet and have not had a problem with my glasses coming off when at highway speeds, but I have had them move a little (easy to just push back on) but since I don't run the highway very much yet, it hasn't been a problem.

Are you sure you don't want a full face. I have a shoei rf800 and a shoei rf1000 and they both accomodate my glasses well. I just put the helmet on, lift up the visor, and slide my glasses on. Then I have the option of leaving my visor up or closing it.

Oh I wear a full face helmet too. I have a 3/4 helmet that I've never worn (was included in the bike purchase), but I think about trying it out from time to time.

Full face is the best if you ever have to meet the asphalt with your chin. I'm new to this, but everyone I see in my town with crotch rockets or sport tourings wear full faces. Hardly anyone on cruisers wear helmets in my town.

Yeah I'm on a cruiser. It's kinda weird, but the reason I wear a full face helmet is because I don't wanna have to deal with sunblock every time I ride - the face shields have UV protection.

Heck I grew up turning black in the sun with no sunblock (back then it was tanning lotion, wasn't it?), but now my face just plain hurts when it's in the sun too long. I know 3/4 helmets have face shields too, but the 3/4 helmet I got with the bike doesn't have a place for one.

My chin? If it gets scraped off, maybe it'll grow back with some hair on it this time.

I wear glasses with a half helmet all the time, mostly at highway speeds. I do have a windshield however when doing this. I wear over-the-glasses goggles when the windshield is off. It looks like a scuba mask, but does the job.
