I get between 55-60 mpg with my Hyosung GT250 depending upon how I ride. I'm amazed at all the bigger bikes that get better mileage!

Last fill up I was getting bout 36 mpg out of a 82 kz650. I just cleaned the carbs and she is running much better, I'm interested in seeing if it helps my fuel economy.

I have only filled my tank twice since I bought my '08 C50, first fill (after dealer filled) I got 47 mpg and this last tank I was at 46 mpg, that is all city (except for a 90 mile ride 3 days after I bought the bike) I am thinking that when I get out on the highway more and get it broke in fully it will get a little better, as it is I still only have 400 miles on it so far.

I got 68mpg on Sunday on a ride of mixed speeds, I was with a couple of 600s a 400 and a 2 stroke 125 (that kept breaking down). Did 200miles and it cost me £15

My Suzuki C90 (1500 cc) averages between 46 and 49 mpg. I think that's pretty good considering the size of the bike. It's a 2007 and is fuel injected. I'm also running the stock exhaust.

About 43 mpg on a 1982 Honda V45 Sabre 750S. I try to mix street stop and go with an equal amount of highway miles. No wind shield and I am 6ft. 250lbs which equals a lot of wind resistance.

Update: Yamaha VStar 650 Silverado (2008) - first week of riding to and from work (26 mile round trip, avg 35-55 mph) - right at 50mpg.
Around town and so forth at 45 and under, more like 40mpg. Edit: also took the advice of others on here and put regular 87 octane gas in it the last couple tanks instead of premium - strangely enough it actually helped a bit, and zero difference in performance. My stats seem a little low, but keep in mind that I weigh 250 lbs and I do almost no highway driving.

I'm surprised that the smaller bikes are not getting better mileage.
06 Honda rebel 250cc, 60mpg average 02 Honda Shadow ACE 750cc, 52mpg average, with windshield bags and back rest. 2001 Sportster S 1200cc, 50 to 55, it has windshield bags and back rest. K&N filter and stage two mufflers. 2000 Ultra classic 88 CI gets 35 to 47, the 35 was two up fully loaded and running 75+ all day. |

It may boil down to the twist of the wrist as I know for a fact the 250 Rebel or Virago will blow past 70mpg on a cruise. Now, you start becoming a throttle jockey and things do change quick. |

My Nighthawk can get right at 50 MPG in lower speed combined driving, but really slurps the gas on the freeway at 70 MPH. Range on the Nighthawk's tiny bladder in the city is right around 140 miles, but down to about 100 on the freeway at 70. On the freeway, I guess as much as 40, but probably in the high 30s, just like my 1982 Quantum.

My 82 CB750SC gets anywhere from 34-38 mpg. I guess that isn't too bad considering it has pod filters, Kerker exhaust, and has been rejetted.

7/27/2008 we went 2-up on the 1200R Sporty and traveled 168.7 miles on mostly backroads and used 3.2 gallons. 52.7mpg isn't bad at all for 2-up.

2007 GS500: city, 55-60mpg. country roads on the weeked (trying to waste gas) 60-65mpg. go figure
My truck 20mpg. which is not that bad...for a truck. It's currently a pine needle collecter. My dad has a 1999 Triumph Sprint(950cc) that got 48mpg on a recient 2500 mile trip with the boys. They go really fast so we were surprised. Take care of it and it will take care of you. |

48 to 51mpg on my 2001 Spirit VT1100. A little less when I'm riding with my buddy who has a 2003 Triumph Daytona 600. Just keeping him in sight is a job in itself.

I have done a lot of mixed riding lately, 2 mile commute to work and long trips out (379 miles) and am still getting over 65 miles to the gallon out of my Fazer 600
It would appear that no matter how hard or slow I ride I don't seem to vary much on the economy of it.

Harley made the 1200 Roadster from 2004 - 2008. The crimson red sunglow was only available in 08. I don't know if it was offered in orange and black.

I have an '03 V-Star 1100 custom with Cobra pipes. On average I'd get mid to upper 40's. I've seen as low as 38 MPG and this past Sunday I did my first charity ride. I started with a full tank and filled up again this morning (first ride since Sunday) and calculated 55 MPG!!! Now if I can get that more often I'll be happy.

Last tank I got 52 mpg and that wasn't all hwy driving. Pretty good for a 1312cc V-Twin.
![]() I don't ride it hard and I have made it a point not to screw around with the carb or exhaust.....seems to me when you start adjusting and replacing stock parts the mileage drops off. IMO |
