![]() I just got done reading the write up on this bike. I'm not into dressers myself but I find the newer more contemporary styling pretty exciting. Not to mention somewhat fearless on the part of Victory for not making another Harley look alike that would certainly have a market demographic. Love the looks? Think it's crap? I'd like to get a feel for what people are thinking or if they're thinking. Thanks, Freedumb ![]() |

whenever I see a bike like this I always think back to when Honda came out with the new Magna in 1987, people wern't hot with the redesign, but now people love it. Now with this bike it is sure is a advanced look for a motorcycle so it will be intresting to see if it catches on. I like the look from some angles but not from others.

Oh man, I just friggin' HATE it (the looks).... sorry! And mind you, this comes from one of a handful of current Victory owners in this forum. I have no doubt what so ever that it's probably a darn sweet bike to ride and get along with BUT...... I just can't get past the looks.
Man, it IS a contradiction in terms but when I go out on a bike, I want to be left the heck alone! I don't want to be a rolling 2-wheeled circus out there (or at least try not to be). Least' ways the nice thing about going out on a Harley here in the Black Hills, no one even gives you a second thought - just "oh hum, another friggin' Harley...". But this thing..... Yikes?! That having been said, I wouldn't be too surprised if someday I DID wind up with one?! IF a killer deal should pop up, well..... ya' know the rest! But the thing will ALWAYS be butt ugly - heck, I'm STILL getting use to my OLD Vic too! ![]() LRG |

I give Victory points for innovation and styling, but it is a bit out there for my tastes. It looks huge and awkward to handle at slow speeds but probably rides like a dream out on the open road

It's different. I can't say that I hate it but it just doesn't suit me.

I'm one of the handfull of Vic. owners. Some angles make it look fuggly, others look very nice! I've heard it is a dream to ride at ANY speed! (baggers are not my style) From the angle you're showing it for some reason the word "Strato-liner" comes to mind.

Well guys, I'm pushing age 70, and I think more of functionality than looks. If that fairing kept the rain off me, I'd buy it in a heartbeat if I were in the market. It looks to me to have tons of storage, and that's what a person needs on a long trip. I just came back from over a thousand miles, and I barely had room to sit down after getting all my junk tied on. That would have been one sweet bike to ride yesterday in 4 hours of torrential rain!
LRG, speaking of rolling show, I installed my little aux tank on my bike, and it looks like a beer keg. People come running the minute I pull in and start asking questions about it. It's kind of fun! One thing, you sure meet lots of nice people! Last edited by TFee3; 05-16-2008 at 07:59 PM.. Reason: Addition |

I think they're awesome! I read an article in Popular Mechanics a month or so ago where two couples took a Wing & a Vision for a tour around the North Carolina/Georgia area hitting some of the best BBQ joints....now thats my kind of cruise

All I can say is unlike most young guys I started out the first 10 years or so with Full Dressers, and put probably the lion's share of my mileage on those kinds of bikes. Seems back then most of the people I hung out with were most always my seniors, and then some. Then as I got older and the wanderlust spirit dissipated a bit (actually a lot) I started going for a lighter and more bare-bones approach. Oh sure, I still got bags (soft throw-over ones) and a small windshield (compared to the giant fairings I'd had in the past). Now I think in terms of NOT just how much more stuff can I pile onto a scoot... but what else can I surely do without, and don't need to bring with me?! Nuff' said.

I just found this photo of the bike naked while searching for something else. Not a bad looking bike with good flow once you take all the cr@p off! I could build off that!

That thing is ugly! But I have to admit, it's nice that they're thinking out the box. Give it 10 years and we'll have bikes in a new style that hopefully don't look so out of place.

You got that right and if you haven't taken a test ride yet that bike is awesome. I like the seating position much better than the Goldwing and it rides like a Rolls Royce.

you know, now that I look at it again, it kind of reminds me of the car styling of the 50's and 60's, people were not all that thrilled when the first cars came out with the fins and such at first....food for thought.

I think the trunk in back makes it look like something from a "Scoobie Doo" cartoon.

I'm not sure what I think, but as much as I hate to say it, I would love to take one for a ride. The only thing is I would not want anyone to see me on it.

If I were in the market for a new, full dress bagger/touring bike this would be my first choice. I think it looks awesome and it's very well balanced and feels lightweight when you sit on it. I bet it handles like a dream.

If I could find a cheap wrecked one I'd be tempted to bob it. That thing looks REALLY good stripped down.

I saw one yesterday up close on display at the mall, and i have to say, it's a good looking bike. When the Ford Taurus came out in 1986, it was one of the most controversial looking, modern cars in production. It went on to be the best selling sedan in America. People took a liking to it. I think that's what may happen with the design of this bike

I think bobbing it would be a great idea.

It looks very futuristic to me... and I'd certainly wouldn't want to let it tip over.
Is that Phased-Plasma Rifle In The Forty Watt Range, on the front??? MississippiSteve |

my first reaction was that i hated it. then i kept looking at it over and over. kinda like a car wreck.
what i now think is if you removed the rear trunk it would be a whole new bike with all new responses (capt obvious over here) as is, hate it. picturing it without the rear storage container, not bad at all.

We have a Victory Dealer less than 5 miles from the house and several people in our neighborhood have purchased the Fugly Vision. I see them every morning and as much as I hate to admit it...they look a little better every time I see one. I like the looks of several Victory & Harley products but still can't see paying that much for a MC. If I was going to spend that kind of money I would buy a Wing

I'm very much a traditionalist. The Victory bikes are anything but old school styling and just doesnt' appeal to me. The bike you've pictured looks "bulky" and too futuristic for me.

Howdy All !
Clockdaddy summed it up for me as well...I'm a traditional style fan so the "innovation" of this bike design doesn't sit well.My initial reaction upon first look is a silent 10 or 12 second stare followed by a light clenched lip "no' movement of the head....followed quickly with a shoulder shrug to just let the "WHY" go.... I'm sure the engineering for space vs. wieght vs. comfort etc etc is mind boggling but gimme an ol' bobbed fender and laced wheels anyday ! Cheers ! |

Like a few other posters here, as I look at it more it is kind of growing one me, as long as the nasty looking trunk is removed, if that was gone, I think it would look a whole lot better.
