HID conversion

my bro has an 01 929RR, and wants to convert it to HID headlights, or at least the low beam. He's searched but cant find anything for the 929. Does anyone know of any HID kits, or is he gonna have to fabricate something?

It looks to me like the headlight lenses and probably the enclosures are plastic. You won't be able to put a hot bulb in there. If you need longer range lighting, it would be best to add driving lights (on a relay circuit). That way you can use it separate from your regular lights when your riding somewhere deserted. No offense, but those who have to drive looking into them really hate them.

i drive a lowered car, so i get a face full of HID every time im driving at night time, so believe me, i know. But ill pass the info to him, thanks

Will the 929 take an HIR (Toshiba) conversion? (bulb exchange - have to do some trimming) Made a world of difference on my Bandit. Check out finemotoring@ebay.com

Does the Toshiba HIR come in a 9003 base? I like it if it's as cool as a std bulb and isn't BLUE The problem is the color, not the brightness. I was warned to watch the heat in my headlight bucket.

9005 and 9006 on mine - and they had to have some trimming with nail cutters - and it is a clean white light. I'm not sure about any other bases.
