Default Know how to lower a VT1100C?

I'm a bit short for my Shadow VT1100C, any ideas how to lower the bike some?

Thanks!

By getting a aftermarket seat, (a excellent idea considering how my butt hurts after a long ride on my stock seat),you can drop the riding height with softer padding and narrowing the front a bit to let your legs move together and reach the ground. Suspension mods wreck the bike's handling and limit your lean angle.

Here is a pretty good tute for modding your stock seat so it sits lower.

There are lowering kits (rear) but you would be hard pressed to find one for your bike. You could also get slightly lower shocks for the rear. But as RS wrote lowering the suspension will alter your handling and drivability (usually not for the better).
