gotta be the cb750 line. before that the cb450. the 305 superhawk was a very fas bike for its size. i really think it would be very hard to say what was the best bike ever built. it comes down to different strokes for different folks. nuff said

Kaw 650 makes a credible case, but I like the Honda 650 better

For performance I liked the mid-80's Magna, especially the V65. For looks I have always liked the Shadow line of 750's and up....

Got to like those V65's. I liked the Sabre better than the Magna though but I tend to like standards more than cruisers.

Which one do you have? IMHO they CL differed from the CB mostly as a styling package. They got the pipes up off the ground enough that you could do some mild off-roading. They seemed a lil top-heavy to me. But OK. I liked mine fairly well. Think I have had several different models. Had a coupla 3 or 4 350's. Think a 450. Think a Honda 90, maybe more than one. Had an SL 90 but that is very different than a CL. Something is tickling my memory that the small CL bikes may have had a different cam and/or carb than the CB, not sure.

Yeah, since you already have one it's a moot question. I wudda said if you want off-road capability I'd just get a dual sport. Shucks I ought to anyway, just for the heck of it.

I have a 85 v65 sabre and it's hard to find a fault. looks good in my opinion and has mountains of power. I'm taking her up to Tennessee in a few moths, we'll see how she fairs against long distance riding.

1975 CB 750, the bike that started it all or..... The '88 CR 125, the BEST MX bike ever bike, (just look at the '88 MXdN, Johnnie O Mara on a stock Honda 125 beat the ENTIRE filed, (well except for Rick Johnson on a 1 off Honda CR250, and David Bailey in the second moto on a factory Honda CR 500.
I had one, best suspension ever, seamless power that climbed on and on.
Just one old guys thoughts!

im 6'5 320lbs so i dont ride any small bikes,most bikes are not made for me to ride em,so i can only have an opinion on larger bikes

well you cant beat a valkyrie,cant beat the smooth engine, it will idle off evertime if you want it to,plenty of power

i got a 78 goldwing with around 60,000 on it good bike i have gave that bike a hard life an it needs a little TLC but that thing is tough, ive rode it like a dirt bike jumped out on the pipe line many times, over reved many many times, an ever time i ride it, its at 8000-8500 rpm red lines at 8, ive seen it past 10,000rpm,

vtx is a nice bike im just not a v-twin person dont like that bog when you take off,an the vibration from them,the thing i love most about the vtx is the 5th gear acceleration never been on any other cruiser that could touch that,just hit it at 50mph in 5th an watch the spedo go,lol

Go ahead and laugh, but to me it was the Pacific Coast. Great combo of price, handling, moderate power, comfort, elements protection and storage.

Honda bike with the biggest impact = GoldWing.

Seriously though from what i've heard the CB750's kicked ass. And agreed that the Goldwing is one great bike, nothing else even comes close in its class

Seriously the CB750 was a great bike but the one that impressed me was a CB360. The people I knew that had them seemed to have no problems and they went about anywhere. Although one of my friends did learn they didn't corner to well at high speed on dirt and but his in a swamp, after that, it didn't run to well

Probably the venerable Honda Cub. 50 million sold since 1958 - the most mass-produced vehicle ever...more than the Ford Model T and VW Beetle put together .

The CB750 from 1969 was also an important bike from a technology standpoint and forever changed the standards for modern motorcycles.

Too many to list! For Honda sales, it has to be the CB 350 that started the motorcycle revolution in the United States. (they sold more than a million of them.)

Who could ever forget the Honda mini trail 50 with the fold down handlebars. I grew up on one. Then of course the CR250R. One of the best motocross bikes ever built, I raced a 84,86,89,93.

id have to vote for 3.
1. the cub. an odd mix between a motorcycle and a scooter, sold tons of them, i belive TopGear did a bit on it, long story short it took everything they threw at it and it still ran.
2. the CB/CL 300-450 bikes. I have a CB, love it. my dads first bike was a CL450, he loved it. once again, honda sold a ton of them, there is a ton of them still around, on the road and packed away in barns waiting for people to ride them again and again
3. the blackbomber. it was a great bike. very technologicly advanced motor for the time. i belive they did away with valve springs and used a tortion bar type deal instead of the valve springs. i belive those were the first motors that could hit 10k rpm and live to tell about it. also, it was a bit of a cult item, at least for me. many 20-somethings descovered the joy of riding a reliable bike that was not too expensive

Well for any one living in a gentrified neighborhood, in the years(riding seasons) to come keep an eye out for the c70.

In a time where scooters and small bikers are coming back, the c70 will be heavily sought after.

I haven't been alive long enough to say, but my guess is the cub, it was so prevalent all around the world.

In the states I would say the cb750. It kind of closed the lid on the Harley/Honda rivalry. Now there both to different to say they compete.

well, I think the best bikes that Honda made were the Shadows. My personal favorite being the 750 ACE. Granted, it's not one that is easily customized, but it still has a lot of potential to it.

I'll admit that the CB750 is a nice bike, but it's a little tall for my taste. Maybe if I had been able to dish out the seat on the one I rebuilt, I'd be riding it today. (assuming that the /a/hole I had for a roommate at the time hadn't stolen it...)

I'm not a fan, the bike may look cool now, but I have a felling it won't age well at all.

The old Honda's have timeless look to them, the new CB1000 screams look at me, and in ten/twenty years no one will want to.
