Default Harley Davidson Sportster Motorcycles

There are seven Harley Sportster models available:

XL883
XL883L
XL883C
XL1200N
XL1200L
XL1200C
XL1200R

The key features of the Harley Sportster line of motorcycles are:

* Rubber-mounted 883cc and 1200cc Evolution® engines
* Traditional 3.3-gallon or custom 4.5-gallon tank
* Mid-mounted or forward-mounted foot controls
* 150mm rear tire and wide rear fender
* Reduced clutch effort and smaller handgrips
* Narrow frame for smooth power delivery and agility

The 1200R is no longer available in 2009.

The XL883 is also no longer available in 2009.

I like them all, really. I was going to buy a black one, but my friend talked me into the orange one. Stock, it's a very functional motorcycle. A lot of people buy Sportsters to modify them, but I like mine just as it is.

I really want to take one of these for a ride. I've been on the Iron (love the looks, really disappointed with the performance), the Nightster and the 1200L and enjoyed myself but I am so happy I found my Buell.

I think HD should have "leveraged" the Thunderstorm engines from Buell and put (at least the Sportsters) their bikes on a "Diet". This would make them kinda sporty....

For many years i had hoped for a Sportster like this but was hoping it would come way sooner. I was upset when they were sold in Europe first and so I finally got a Buell that I really love. I think they could have shaved more weight off of the XR1200 making it much better but oh well. My Buell is 100 lbs lighter and much faster.
