Default Headlight keeps going out.

I have 79 Suzuki GS550L with a brand new stator. I have put three head lights in the bike because they keep blowing up. I'm using the correct bulb that sylvania told me to use. I can't get the head light to last more than a day. Fuses are all good.

It's possible that too much wattage is getting to the headlight. That might be the first thing to check.

Are you being careful not to touch the bulb with your bare fingers as you are installing it?
