Default CB350 Carburetor Adhesive Question

I know the title is vague, but I couldn't put the words together in a short description.

I was cleaning the tubes in my carburetor, and when I removed to bottom plate to expose the tubes and float I realized that it was stuck to the caeburetor with some type of adhesive.

Is this a special kind of adhesive? I know some carbs (ATVs in my past experience) will have thermal paste on specific parts.

I'm just curious what type of adhesive this is so I can replace it.

The adhesive goes around the outside edge of the rubber o ring, and is pinkish red in color if that helps.
Thanks.

That was most likely gasket sealer. The Permatex aviation (Number 3) sealer is good for fuel applications.
