I am a new rider, my wife and i purchased motorcycles,2004 650 vstar for her . The problem , no fuel getting to the carburator.Did all the tests and checked the fuel pump,it is good.Unplugged the electrical connection at the fuel pump and when i turn the key on i get 12 volts coming from the fuel pump relay, but as soon as i plug the connector back into the fuel pump and turn the key back on i only get 0.3 volts. anyone with suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Fuel pump and fuel pump relay have been tested at dealer and are good.

welcome
if it were me, i'd replace the fuel pump and relay. technically, it shouldn't be old enough to be bad, but that's usually a good start. aside from that, before you go throwing money at it, make sure the gas is actually leaving the tank, and that the lines aren't in a pretzel or tweaked or running up hill. shouldn't matter as much if it's up hill if you have a fuel pump, but sometimes air in the lines can cause it not to pump... air can get trapped in the line.. also make sure all of the hoses are plugged in correctly. has this been an issue from the start, or is it something that developed recently?
