Question picking up CBR600RR

Hey all, made decision buying my first Honda, it's gonna be a CBR600RR. Probably gonna pick it up with my truck, however need some ramp on it? Any suggestions what to use? I found this http://www.onsaleramps.com/loading-r...torcycle-ramp/ it's not a lot to spend or you guys prefer a hitch carrier?

A ramp like that would work for a CBR600, but not for something much heavier than that. It has a 400-pound load limit.

The best way to load or unload a motorcycle is to back up to a hill so the ramp is at a shallow as possible angle to the truck bed. A terrace or something almost level with the truck bed would be ideal.

Having help to steady and roll the motorcycle on and off is the best idea. 2-3 helpers makes easy work of it.

If anything feels unsafe or questionable, take the time to think it over. It's better to spend a few extra minutes working out a safe way to get the motorcycle up than having it fall and get damaged.

Thanks for your advise! Yes my biggest nightmare is to get damage.... my brother told me to get 2 ramps, without the gutter look but flat, 1 for walking yourself and one for the bike.

If you've never loaded a motorcycle into a truck before, do yourself a favor and checkout some of the many youtube videos on the subject.

http://www.youtube.com/results?searc....0.Hi9S1V3NweE

You will see many good and bad examples. *Hint* Most of the ones with people riding the bike up the ramp end badly

Agreed ...

He seemed to have stated that this is his first Honda ... not his first bike though.

Thanks guys for the input... I actually chose this one for safety and it did well... anyway, might as well use it to load my ATV. Thanks also for the youtube link as I learned a lot watching it. Here's the ramp I just purchased.
