Default How many Miles/Year

How many miles do ya'll put on a year? The last couple years I've been right around ten thousand. Would like to do more, but that's what time allows. I ride the bike basically every where. Usually from easter-thanksgiving if possible. The only thing I avoid is ice. So, how many miles do ya'll do each year? And is it mostly joy riding, or your everyday driver.

I've average 5k the past 2 years.

I'm shooting to do 10k this year.

About 8k last year, I'm hoping for 10k or more this year.

It's going to be more than 6K and probably closer to 10K.

First year I rode the bike, I had about 2000. Last year about 4000. Since March I've had 1000. So I've averaged about 3000, but I'm sure I will have many more miles this year, because I realized how crazy I was about this hobby

I don't really pay attention to how many miles I put on the bike on a year....I just ride and smile

I do a consistent 13,000 a year. I might get more in this year since I rode a bit in December, January, and February. Usually the motorcycle stays in storage during those months.

I've been around 8000 per year. This year will probably be more though. I've already ridden about 1500 with the riding season starting about 6 weeks early.

I tried this question at the start of the year in the form of a thread titled "2012 Numbers Game" where I posted a photo of my odometer and stating that I thought I might turn 10K. I thought it would be a rather popular thread but only a couple of people signed on with photos of their own odometers.
To be quite honest, I held a fear that it would be avoided because it's one thing to just type in what milage total you do, it's quite another to put the actual photographic evidence of the January 1 number and the December 31 number. People make all kinds of claims (boasts) on internet sites, anonymity has a curious effect.

Some of us post ZERO photos on the internet. I boast of that all the time. If someone does not believe what I say, I could not care less. Needing to "prove it" with photographs is simply offensive.

If someone's lying it eventually becomes quite evident. I'm not interested in if someones lying or not. Just curious about what ppl do. and in a thread like this I see no reason to lie... Maybe some still do. Doesn't matter to me. Just curious

You didn't say what you typically do though. Are you going for 10,000 this year? Or is that overall miles on your bike? What do you typically get a year?

I'll put between 5,000 - 6,000 a year; about 10% for places I need to be and 90% for places I want to be as in joy riding and just taking rides to enjoy the day. No matter how many miles you ride just enjoy everyone of them.

23500 May 5 2011 to May 5 2012, drove the car 5X to work. Commuting 90 miles RT 5X a week now. How about gas prices? Paid 3.46 for regular yesterday and saw it at 3.42 at the same station today.

I put about 12-15000 miles per year on the combination of bikes I have. I have 4000 miles already this year, and summer is not even started.

This year was as close to all year riding weather that we can get in ohio. I had the bike out christmas eve, christmas day, new years day, and other days of course. But that rarely happens in Ohio.
