Default I dumped it today

Taking a U-turn, everything was going smooth until I either hit a slick spot or a combo of the small divet it the road the tar from the reflector in the road or what, but the next thing I know I am on the ground as is the bike.

Other than a bruised ego, scraped up knee and a few cuts on my stomach I am good. Shattered the windscreen, bent the clutch lever, and cracked the lelft engine cover. I was still able to ride it after I refilled the coolant that came out and seemed to ride straight. Once I get the new clutch lever in and installed gunna take it in and have a mechanic look at it.

Glad to hear you're ok. This stuff happens, learn from it. The ego is the worst part! From my experience if bars or frame are bent you KNOW it right away. But you can adjust to it pretty easily. If it felt straight, it probably is. Still good to have everything checked over tho.

Found an awesome shop here in Ocala, they got me a left side engine cover for $50. Ordered the Clutch lever on Monday so hopefully it comes in tomorrow, once I get that replaced I need to ride it again, I am gunna take it the shop and have them take a look at it and look at my issue with coolant boiling over, maybe it just needs a flush I hope any way, running low on funds and still tryingto find a job.

I still need to find a windscreen for less than $100, but I can just pull what is left of mine off and rock it with out it.

Glad you are okay. You may want to practice some of those turns in a parking lot along with some of the other maneuvers....look where you want to go and not on the ground either...FYI Take care

I am fairly good good at the slow speed stuff, when I tok my MC road test I was able to do the U-turn in the under 500cc box on my 600cc bike.

The only thing I can think of that I did wrong was too much gas comming out and I hit a divet in the road, the only thing I could see on the road that I would have hit.

I love the slow speed manuver stuff, and most likely could use a bit more practice, but I think it was more enviromental in my case. Found out my Clutch lever suppsedly came in today, so after I drop the roomie off at work I am gunna go pick it up and replace that and the engine cover.

The old saying among the folks I know is "There are two kinds of riders, the ones who have dumped it, and the ones who are going to."

how many feet do they set the U turn for, I practice a lot but not sure of distance, is it the narrow amount of two park stalls? that's tight
