First Bike Accessories

I will be buying my first bike soon and want to know what kind of extras would be smart to get right away. (gear is the obvious one)

Things like a cover, spare parts, tools, disc lock, etc? Any sugestions are appreciated.

Engine guard/Crash guard.

If you want to protect your bike from serious damage from spills or parking lot tip overs, an engine guard (some call them "crash guards") is the most important accessory.
