Is the engine turning over when you press the starter button.

I was away for 10 days and my bike has been sitting under a bike cover in the rain and cold. No tender attached and full tank of gas.

I thought I would have trouble starting her up but I clicked into Neutral, pressed the starter and vroooooom. Didn't even have to give her any throttle.

Fuel Injection is sweet. Love my 650R.

i wish my bike was fuel injection mine is carb and it is a tad hard to start sometimes when it is really cold a little choke and she will fire every time but gotta give her some gas for a min to stay running kinda sucks but i can live with.

I feel the same way, it is even a sweeter sound when you have had to store the bike away for the winter and it is the first start up of the new year.

I hear you on starting up a cold wet forlorn motorsickle. Not in the same way though as I was jonesing to ride! Been away since Thursday 5:30am. Needless to say this mornings ride in to work nirvana! (There sure are a lot of triumphs in Brooklyn!)
