Default Best cold/wet weather sport touring tires?

NYC weather is ****e... I want to keep riding until Thanksgiving, any recommendations on sport touring tires that excel in less than ideal weather? Bike is a Ninja 650R strictly for commuting and touring.

I copied the following text from a website.

i always put a sport tour tire on during winter. i actually put the bt-021's on a bit early this year. during warm weather they are practically like a sport tire. by a bit early, i went on 3 hard rides with the fellas and the 21's performed well. on dry roads in cold weather you can still ride pretty hard. i ride all year around, and i know it doesn't get as cold here, but i rode a few nights in the 20's last year and many below 32.

My 2009 650R came with the Bridgestone Battlax BT-021's stock.

I like the Michelin Pilot road 3, My bike came with BT-020's originally, nice tire but I get the same performance and almost triple the mileage on the Michelin's. The new tread pattern is suppose to be great in wet weather and from my limited rain rides I'd say it's great.

Motorcycle Superstore recommended the Pilot Road 3... I think I will go for those.

I have been using a set of Continental Road Attack 2's. Best tire I have ever used, best in the rain, I am sure good in the cold as well.
