Default Gas Tank

I have a Yamaha V Star 250. I was wondering if there is anyway to add a fuel gage to the bike. Don't respond to check the odometer and track your milage this way. I know. Thanks.

Are you looking for an actual guage or somethi ng like a sight tube set-up?

Default Not sure

A gauge would be cool, but I'm not familiar with a strait tube set up what's that? I have a v star 650 too with no gauge.

Sight tubes are just a clear tube that fits on the side of a gas tank that allows you to eyeball the level of fuel in the tank. I am not fond of them because it requires you to drill holes into your stock tank. you can search on ebay for "fuel sight gague" and see how it works.

I've seen a couple gauges people have made using the spiral shaft and float for riding mower fuel gauges. If you have a 2 bung tank it can be made into one of the caps. Not my favorite idea but it worked.
