Posts: 11 Trader Rating: 0 reviews CBR1000rr cuts out after a few minutes..PULLED THE FUEL PUMP AND NOW AN ISSUES Okay so here is an update..I was able to pull the fuel pump out with no issues. I disconnected the Banjo bolt..a little fuel came out from the lines..and was able to carry the tank with no fuel spillage. Once i took the fuel pump apart I notices 2 rubber o-rings. One was attached to #2 on the pic and i had an extra one that i wasnt sure where it popped out of.. so i cleaned the sock part..had some gunk and some metal filings..cleaned that out good..now its time to put everything back..so i attached the o-rings to #1 and #2 (IN PIC) both their ends had the similiar type fittings and there was no where else it could of came out from. So here is the issue, after connecting everything up when tightening the bolts down IN SEQUENCE according the the PIC...fuel starts spilling out of the drainage hoses and even if i rest the tank on the top..seems like air or something pushes the fuel out..Know i know this is not correct coz when i pulled the tank from the bike..no fuel leaked at all.. Bottom line is >>PLZZZ HELP ME haha..spent my half my day in 116 weather trying to get this damn thing right. Im also trying to search for a "INSIDE" pic of the fuel pump so i have a better pic so it can relate to what im saying. If there is any one in the phoenix, scottsdale area that wants to lend me a hand..beers on me i know its holiday time..so next week works..but i will be trying this again tomorrow. Thanks guys. Just found out i cant post links..so i can email pics if needed....thanks again |
