Default TSA already at bus, train, subway and ferry stations

I said it would happen years ago, I did not know it already was happening and has been since 2007. As the power grab occurs the TSA will be in more and more places. Soon they will be doing roadside checkpoints checking out automobiles and motorcycles, after all you never know if there is a car/truck/motorcycle bomb out there somewhere. Oh the update says they are already stopping private vehicles to do inspections. But at least the 4th amendment clearly states the government needs "probable cause or any other excuse they come up with at any time they come up with it". It doesnt? Hmm...

Airports used to be able to opt-out of TSA screeners after 2 years (which passed years ago) however after a congressman sent letters to most of the airports telling them this the TSA changed the rules all by themselves saying no one else is allowed to opt-out.

Texas has tried to pass a law banning the groping that is occurring at airports, the response was that all airports in Texas would be closed if that law was passed. I guess the 10th amendment is right up there with the 4th.

The TSA is showing up at sporting events doing "pre-crime" work Minority Report style, basically they have cameras and other devices and they ask you questions to see if you are likely to cause trouble while there. Not that you did anything yet, but you might in the future because you blinked too often.

I am not at all surprised. Are you?

I am however pee'd off that the TSA is allowed to infringe, so blatantly, on Americans rights. The illegals ... that's a different story. (And this is not a "if you have nothing to hide, nothing to worry" scenario.)

It's amazing how quickly from when new powers are given to when they start being abused.

Hey if you have nothing to hide whats the big deal? We need these laws in place to protect us from the idiots and Im glad the TSA makes it safe for us in our country. NOT Have they found one bomb or terrorist since they have been implemented? The terrorists aren't going to attack with planes the next time. They are probably just going to go to a large store where there are a bunch of people and shoot everybody. You will start seeing TSA at Walmart Kroger any place that is public. This country is going to hell in a handbasket.

Our rights to protect ourselves is being stripped away as well as stupid nanny laws being made to "protect us". However slowly it may be, it is still happening.

Since 9/11, I am more aware of what's around me. Since having a child I am extremely more protective for my surrounding. If I do not like a person or group of people, I leave if I can or keep an eye on them in case I need to respond to their actions. If that action means beating some a-hole about the head or more severe, then so be it.

Public safety just does not mean the cops/FBI/DEA/TSA that "potrol" the streets. We as citizens have to do our part or at the very least we should.
