Default Motorcycle Intercom anyone know

anything about the TORK system or have one, it's about $90.00... or do you know of a cheap (under $100) system that will work ?

http://www.bikeintercom.com/products/ridemate_v2.html

The TORK Ridemate is a very compact Rider/Passenger intercom that allows communication between rider and passenger.
The Main intercom unit offers full duplex communication. (Both Rider and Passenger can communicate at the same time).

In addition to communicating the Ridemate also allows the input of a music device (CD, MP3 etc.). Adding a music device will allow both Rider and Passenger to listen to music. The system includes a music cable and 2 volume control cords. Just add your music device.

Says it was tested at 70mph...

The problem we had with intercoms is water damage. Not matter where we put them, water got inside them

I'm interested in seeing replies to this...we're thinking of a bike-to-bike system and have no idea what to get...

I know you wanted to hear about systems under 100 bucks, but I use the Vega V-Tune helmet when I want to communicate with my riding partners. The helmet has built in blue tooth for your phone, can be used as an MP3 player through your phone (all wireless) and also as a helmet to helmet communicator.

I have tested the phone feature and it actually works great even at highway speeds. I was doing 65mph-70mph and the person on the other line said it was really clear. just throwing that option out there.... good luck in your search.

PS.... the helmet even has built in sunglasses that work pretty good. Hit a switch and they flip up/down.

The blinc m1 is $100, I have one and am playing with it trying to get it to do exactly what I want. It does intercom plus bluetooth to an mp3 player, phone, gps, etc.

I got this one a little less than a year ago on sale for for $89 figuring it was a chance but once I got them installed on 2 full face helmets I couldn't be happier. Hooks up to my Iphone via Bluetooth, so I can listen to MP3's and have it set up to auto answer so after 3 rings it just answers the phone (music pauses then it rings) and I've had calls at 45 mph and they had no idea I was riding and they can connect to each other to almost a mile but have not gone that far apart yet, but for the price I was surprised at how well they work. There about $130 now but still well worth the money.

I did also get cought in the rain once and no ill effects so far, was listening o my MP3's on the way home from work at 2 am in a thunder storm LOL.
