Arrow Finding riding buddies ....

I am finding it hard to find riding buddies. I am new to street/cruising bikes, I'm self employed so I don't really have to be around the public all that much. My wife who rides with me has people in her office that ride, BUT I have a feeling their life style and ours are just a little, no a LOT different. I don't mind some1 that has a drink or a beer but when they get wasted, well that's another story...with that said, I guess I might have to buy my wife a bike to have some1 to ride with....I have posted on facebook we are looking for friends to ride with, even did a search to see if there was a local ride for charity or a riding club, but no luck..... such is the life in a small country town I guess....

The Honda dealer I bought my VTX from had a group that went on rides fairly often. Otherwise groups like BACA and ABATE have rides fairly often.

Talk to shops about any charity rides coming up. The Salvation Army Toy run is one such I never miss.

I addition to the regional Depatment here, this Forum is huge;

I seem to meet more people to ride just randomly. I get to talking to someone and next thing you know, they are into motorcycles too.

Go to http://www.meetup.com/ and try to search in your local area. You will be able to find tons of meet up group where people organize a great riding event.

3 weeks back one of my meet up group had riding event and we had 40+ sports bike riders. We went for 100 miles twisties with 3 breaks and it was awesome I met some great riders.

Meet up is a great place to find any outdoor activity you are interested in.

Good luck.

cheers!!

We had a similar problem here. I have lots of freinds that ride, but only one lives here. We joined the local HOG club and actualy went on our first ride with them last week. It was great fun. Just keep looking and you will find like minded people.
