I bought my first bike yesterday.
I got the guy down to $1900 for a 08 ninja 250 w/ 2,000 miles. The bike seems perfect other than a few minor scratches ( but couldn't take it for a ride due to wrist injury and lack of experience). It has 15 tooth front sprocket, blacked out windscreen, custom exhaust, and a extra new battery. What has everyone been paying for there 250's? P.S. can someone please tell me how to upload an image from my PC |

Congrats on your new bike! In 2009 I got my 2009 Ninja 250r, 790 miles, for $3000
You'll be able to post up pics when you've reached 15 posts. You just click the little paper clip button to upload directly from your computer. (This is under the advanced post) I have to ask though.. You bought a motorcycle, without knowing how to ride one at all? Perhaps you need to define "lack of experience." When I bought mine, the only experience I had was the MSF course I had taken the week before. It was enough for a short test ride though. Have you at least that much experience? As soon as my wrist is healed I will be taking the MSF course. I got my permit on friday. I might even wait to take the course before I drive my bike.
I couldn't pass this up for $1900 |

I've seen most of the wrecks and fails on youtube. I love how 1 out of 5 of these people have only a helmet, and 1 out of 20 have full gear on.
There is one on youtube were I wouldn't think you could have less on unless you were naked, and there is no room to go anywhere. ( First Time Learning How to Ride a Motorcycle with My Dad on My New Ninja 250R ) I did at least get a good deal on some NEW gear before I got the bike. $ 100 Bell vortex helmet $ 130 Icon arc mesh/leather jacket $ 60 Icon merc leather gloves I would still like to get at least good pair of boots and Icon leg armor. |

Back on a motorcycle (2004 Virago 250) after 41 years. Yes, I may be going through a mid-life cycle and yes, I'm older (62). First bike 1967 Honda 305 Superhawk left to rot when I went off to Vietnam. Paid $3000 at 4400 miles and now at 6800 since July 2010. Lovin it!
