Prayer neded for a fellow rider

[Midnightrider]

A report shows a probable esophageal cancer. He will be having surgery in the morning for a biopsy and they will also attempt to put in a feeding tube. The family appreciates the prayers and ask for you to continue to remember them in your prayers.
I meet him one afternoon at my wife's office and of course I was on my venture & we struck up a conversation. He invited me over to his shop to show me somethings he thought I needed to know about the venture. He really helped me in a lot of things about the Venture. His love for riding really showed & his love on passing down what he has learned to a newbie was greatly appreciated ...So please say prayer for Big Bird......

I could have sworn I posted last night I was praying for him until I went to sleep. Must have turned off the phone before it posted. The importanat thing are the prayers.

My brother in-law visited with "big bird" last night he is in good spirits but has more test to go through, believe they are moving him to Tupelo, Ms for those. Please continue your prayers for "big bird" & his family....

I would ask that everyone also pray for my friend Danny. Last night, a cager backed out directly in front of him as he was riding home. They lifeflighted him to Bangor where they had to put him in a drug induced coma. He is in surgury now trying to repair the damage. He has several shattered ribs, a punctured lung, and his pelvis was shattered as well.

Well, I got word on my friend Danny. He will recover from the accident, though he will be confined to a wheelchair for at least four months, and then he will have a lot of rehab to do after.

Strange to say, but that's good news. Best of luck for the recovery to him.

I expect he'll be riding again next year. He's one of those who wont let ANYTHING stop him

Both in my thoughts and prayers. I helped my dad & mom out with his battle, and he never did admit to pain which I am sure was there. Probably the most important thing to do is just to listen to how the patient wants to do things and how they choose to manage the disease.
A feeding tube is a big help in that nutrition and medication will stay put and keep up the comfort level as long as possible.
I am continuing my fight as well, [second surgery a month ago],and things are going as good as can be expected. More like waiting for the other shoe to drop,but hoping it never does.... You just have to go with the hand you are dealt,and in any case it is better to die living than to live dying. That is why I will keep riding.

The last I heard was Big Bird had been moved to Northeast Mississippi Medical Center, Tupelo, MS for further testing. I will try to find out more and post it ASAP.
