Default Yamaha introduces thirteen new models for 2013

Yamaha has 13 new or redesigned models for 2013. The music company turned motorcycle manufacturer also produces the Star brand of cruisers and tourers. Seven of these are street machines and six are off-roaders.

Back for 2013 after a year off of production is the V Star 650. With a miniscule amount of increased fuel mileage (0.1 MPG), and a pound heavier, the price has been increased by $100 to $6990. The mid-sized cruiser will be in showrooms this July.

Slightly changed from last year's model, the WR250R dual sport has shed 4 pounds of weight and added $100 to the retail price from the 2012 model. It retails for $6690 this August.

Bigger changes are in store for the XT250 dual sport. Fuel injection will replace last year's carburetor and a slightly larger fuel capacity has been added. The EFI helps the machine get another 3 miles per gallon. The XT250 is due out this month, at $100 more than the 2012 model, bringing the retail price to $5190.

The fat-tired TW200 has shed 1 pound of weight and gained $100 to the price tag. It is due out this July.

The Zuma 125 cc scooter is available with different paint options and an additional $40 to the retail price, making the 2013 model $3390. The Zuma 50 cc model also has new paint options and a $50 price increase.

The Vino Classic has returned after a year of hiatus. A new fuel injection system replaces the carbs. Available in June, it only comes in white.

The off-road motorcycles haven't changed too much. New graphics and colors are available for 2013, most notably a white rear fender replacing the old blue one from 2012. These models include the YZ450F, WR250F, YZ250F, YZ250, YZ125 and YZ85. The pricing remains the same for the off-road models, except the YZ450, which added $140 to the retail and the WR250F which added $100.
