I just need to know of any good used cruisers under 5k. I have searched the internet trying to find this max weight load but can't find them anywhere.

I have looked around for these specs online but haven't been able to find any. I'm just looking for a good used bike to suite my needs under 5k.

Just find the wet weights of the bike you like, very easy to find, then go this website http://www.motorcyclistonline.com/us...pecifications/ which gives you GVWR of bikes (search for the bike you got wet weight on, then choose "other"). Subtract wet weight from GVWR and that is the load limit. Yes it takes a little work but it will narrow down your overall search. I agree with some who are saying with your sizes your forcing yourself to have to get into a big bike 1500-2000cc for two-up.

Yeah Jrw69 I understand about a bigger bike in fact thats what I want. Just don't know which one yet. Since I'm going to be spending money on a bike I want something that I like and is comfortable. If its not I wont like it.

I found a 99 Suzuki Intruder with windshield, bags and also a rear seat with a sissy bar for 4,000 but it has 33,000 miles. Is this a good buy or should I pass on it. I rode it. It handles good and no leaks or anything. But what makes me wonder is the miles on it.

I don't know if you have a way to pick up a bike (trailer/pickup) or not but don't be afraid to look some miles away from you if you do. You could possibly save yourself some big bucks. Just keep sitting on as many as you can. I think I have sat on at least 20 bikes so far. Some great, so I immediately knew no way. You may also want to look into a larger CC cruiser and maybe add an air suspension, it will cost, but it may increase your load capacity and be adjustable without breaking the bank too much, just don't know about performance issues with them. Good Luck!

Head over to the Suzuki page here and ask that question, those guys over there in any of the brand pages is a good place to start for asking questions about specific bikes. Was is it the 1400cc??

No it's a 1500cc. When I did the math on it the bike has only had 2,539 miles on it a year.

You'll have to ask over at the Zuki page, but if I remember they are good on taking high miles, but I think someone said there is an expensive maintenance check or part replacement right around the 36K mile mark. I may be wrong so check into it and possibly why he may change bikes before it has to be done. Nice ride anyway!

All things being equal, 33,000 on a twelve year old bike indicates to me that the bike was ridden and did not sit around. That is a good thing in some ways.

Buying used, nothing wrong with that..but you could also consider possibly spending more on a newer later model less mile's bike..since it is highly likely there would be costs involved buying any used bike... may as well get the most for your buck from the start.. there's a old phrase "buying used is buying some one else's problems" but I read your on a budget so hope you find a good one... also like the old Fram oil filter ad " You can pay me now or you can pay me later"
Not saying you will get a lemon there are bargains out there for sure, good luck.

That doesn't sound like too bad a deal to me. One thing to consider is the after market accessories. If you want to ersonalize your bike at all, llok on different websites & see what's available. I like my Boulevard alot but the after market accessories are very limited.
