Default Heard of this Rider Insurance?

Hey Guys,

I'm a new rider, just got myself a 2011 CBR 600RR! :-D

But i need an insurance. I've been riding bikes since 9 years now, but this is my first bike in the US. I have been quoted ridiculous sums (approx $3000/yr !!) by Gieco, Progressive and Liberty. These were for Liability + comprehensive + collision.

I've found out Rider Insurance (rider . com) and they gave me quotes half of the above sums. But I dont know how good it is? Anybody here know abt it?

Thanks

Ron, Rider is based here in New Jersey. They've been around
a looong time. I had my insurance with them back
in the '70s. The founder of the company was a biker himself
and had a garage full of bikes.
I imagine he's gone now and other management runs the
company these days.

I have had rider insurance on every bike I have owned over the past 30 years, great company, never had a problem!

Well that definitely is good to hear. I'm assuming you would have dealt with them quite a few times. Any particular incident (good/bad) which stands out for you?

Nope. My current Honda is still with Rider.
Won't change unless they give me a good reason.

Always a good experience, web site is easy to navigate and a phone call is always a pleasant experience.
Totally agree with offcenter.
