Ok so i got an old bike coming to my shop and i need some direction for engine parts > the bike "1973 kawasaki F9 350 bighorn 2 stroke enduro" that i hear is nearly cherry has a locked up bottom end.. any help would be sweet thankz bruthas and titster
A couple more are www.oldbikebarn.com and www.partsnmore.com but I doubt they have anything for that bike. I'm guessing Old Bike Barn has parts for it though.
I have that exact bike. In doing my repairs I found parts in two places consistently. Motosport.com had every part and ebay have almost every part in half decent shape. got a new top end and plugs from ebay. And new speedo cable and wires from motosport
I've found the various bike forums are a good source of parts. Just about every make bike has an owners or riders forum with a classified ad section where you can find parts, often alot less than the retail stores.
Hi. I have a 73 Kawasaki S2 350 triple. Last time I rode it was 94. I wiped out taking a corner because i hit a water puddle. The bike has been stored in my Dads heated basement ever since. Recently my brother is going to take ownership of my Dads place and kindly dropped the bike off at my place. I'm considering restoring it, but not sure if I'm the kind of guy who has the patience or time. Maybe I should sell it to someone who would do it justice.
I think it's mechanically in pretty good shape, but obviously going to need some work. Rust in the gas tank, needs some lenses and a headlight, battery, seat, etc. Anybody have any advice? What should it be worth?
I go to Riderparts.com (note: riderSparts.com is for foreign cars..)
It's a nationwide site that puts out your request to all the "junkyards" and they'll email you within 2 days with the part + Price. You can negotiate prices.. they used to be really cheap but I feel like they're catching on now
Try Z 1 Enterprises, Marion,New York.
They have a web page, facebook and a 1-800 number. ask for Chris
I have bought a TON of parts from them over the past 8 years for my '75 Z1-B 900. They specialize in parts for older Japanese bikes.
Good Luck

Use the saved search feature on ebay so you'll get an email as soon as one shows up. It's helped me numerous times for parts that rarely show up, and are purchased before you ever get a chance at it.
I know there are plenty of manufacturers that specialize in vintage two stroke parts.
Unless you're going stock, these guys have recommended the same as I would have
