Default Xb9 mpg?

Seen lots of high claims for MPG from the XB9S/XB9SX - some of them as high as 60 MPG, which seems pretty ridiculous for a 985cc (I think) bike if you ask me.

Anyone here own one, and what do you get out of it? I'm thinking about getting one later on as a daily rider.

My XB9 Firebolt got closer to 50MPG, but I liked to twist and go, and didnt spend much time on the highway.

I believe over 50 easily and even 60 isn't too hard to believe.
My 1203 cc XT a 2008 with hard bags pushes more wind and easily gets 48 to 52 depending on the road and my mood.
I know the 1200 Sportster gets better than the smaller engine due to it having a taller gear ratio and both bikes weigh the same.

That could well be so, I seem to remember that, but its been some years since I sold it, so didn't want to be too off base. 55 might have been its mileage.

I can get 50+ (52 was the best) MPG out of my carbed M2.... I see no reason why high 50's or even 60 wouldn't be possible out of a lighter, injected bike.

I don't think you'll be disappointed with the Xb9, everyone I know that owns one, loves them.... and they also claim 50-60 MPG.
