A New Old Bike
Greetings MC Forumers! About twenty years ago I inherited my dad's 1981 Kawasaki 440D LTD and had fun riding it around western New York State. Unfortunately, I didn't care for it very well and it was falling apart, so I ended up selling it about 5 years ago. Well, the other day a random Craigslist search found a nearly identical '81 440 LTD (the A model) selling for only $50 more than I sold the old bike, but in much, much better condition. Only 6K miles, prev owner had just rebuilt forks, cleaned carb and valves, new plugs and wires, new tires, new headlight, and more! So I'm back on the bike and posting to the forums now to find the few extras that I need to make it the sweet ride I remember.
