Default VStar leather Bags

I am trying to install bags on my 07 V Star, and I am not quite sure how to go about it. They are leather.

General you will need the saddle bag support bars. These a specific to your model of bike and bolt to the fender support.

So, do you have a 650? The link above is the one you would need.

What bags do you have? Some bags take a unique support.

I have a 07. V Star, the bags are leather, with the brackets, I an not sure where the brackets hook on, because the bolt spread is 9 and1/2". And the fender bolt patern is only 9" the bag hooks onto the bracket at the 91/2". And the top location is the 9". Not sure if I connect the bracket at the bottom, or if I have the wrong bracket, as I bought them used. is there more than one brackets for the V Stars?

You have the wrong bracket.

You also need to know what size 07 bike you own. My gut says you have a 650 but the brackets are to a. 1100.

Do you have a manual for your bike? That would give you more info and pictures also. You need to know if it is also a Classic or a Custom...some brackets and accessories may only fit one or the other too. I only have the 650 so mine would be different...

I have done this with a friend as his wife has a 650 and mine is 1100. I suspect the supports will fit IF you can spread or narrow the gap. That's all we had to do but the support was pretty much just a squared off U shape without any bracing.
