98-100 temps on the 1st half of the ride all on interstate, dropped daughters car off in Birmingham, Al and then rode back after dark. Wife HATES night riding, why cause we saw 7 deer and that terrifies her...but we made it safely. I am drained this morning... I loaded me a large drink bottle with water drank it the 1st 50 miles refilled and drank another b4 I got to airport.. I know if i ride much this summer I'm going to have to invest in the right gear..

Yeah, friend of mine traveled through Arkansas, Texas, Oklahoma yesterday said temps were 107.....just too hot, had to stop for the day. He has his daughter with him.
Here in Ohio, it dropped to the 50s last night and fairly quick.Wind is very strong lately too. Not to partial to deer when I am riding either! ![]()

I feel badly for the riders who have no alternate transportation when it gets that hot. I ride for the pleasure of it, and once the temps get over about 90 degrees it stops being fun. Having a furnance-like windblast in your face is not my idea of a fun ride. As I get older I find I enjoy cold weather riding less as well. I guess I am becoming a fair weather rider after all.
