When discussing the issue of weight in the context of wrecking or laying a bike on the rider, noobs are not going to have a few of such incidents in the first few weeks. In fact, chances are they will never (knock on wood) experience such incidents. Now go kill a friggin kitten. ![]() |

Well from the many posts read here and other forums it is likely a noob may drop a bike..at some point everyone will eventually drop their bikes its just a matter of how extreme it might be. Sanford Last edited by sanford; 07-08-2012 at 11:48 PM.. |

--Throws log on the fire--
According to those that say/write things that should be accorded (I think they sometimes use this word "expert", but I often find myself doubting the title), the real danger zone for riders is not the phase known as "Noobus Ridus Bikus", rather the phase of smug complacency that sets in after 2 or so years of riding. By this time the wild motorcyclist feels at home in it's natural habitat, and as a result believes they've got this whole thing licked. They're wariness of the "Soccermommus Minivanus" or "Teenasaurus Text" goes down as they feel their skills are sufficient to avoid random attacks from said predators. The result can be random bouts of falling-offitis which may present the need for the rider to lift their steed up off of the ground. This may present the unique opportunity for the rider to have to initiate bike recovery protocol (should they still be conscious), even if their machine weighs upwards of 900 pounds. This conundrum can be overcome by following simple procedures as outlined in the following films:
