Default Hi from Michigan

Hi Folks,
New to the forum.
Just started riding this year, and I can't get enough.
I purchased a Suzuki 1981 GS850G this Spring, attended a rider's safety course, and got my endorsement.
I also belong to "The GSResource Forum". Great resource for GS owners.
Being new to motorcycles, I can always use another source for help and advice.
Tim

Welcome to the forum!

Just took a ride up to Alpena, Petosky, Traverse City, Grande Traverse Bay, crossed the Mac Bridge and the UP...awesome sights!

I live in Kent County (Western Lower Peninsula).

What's a 1%er?

Oh hey, a long time ago I lived briefly in St. Joe's. I think I might still have relatives in Three Rivers and Schoolcraft and maybe Kalamazoo. I love that area, I really do. (To visit...lol...)

A 1%er is a member of an outlaw motorcycle club in general. The term "81" is often used by others to refer to the Hells Angels in particular. So when I saw your screen name that's the first thing that came to mind, but as I said, once I read your post it was clear that it meant something else for you. No worries.

Oh, well I learned something today.

My 81 is for my new (to me) old 1981 Suzuki.

Thanks for the lesson.
