Default 1980 Honda CB650 rev limiter?

Ok i was looking through my clymers manual and seen that my carbs have a part called a rev limiter on each carb down by the float bowl. I remember seeing the screw and thinking it was some sort of lock for the float bowls (because the float bowls would not come off without turning the rev limiter out)

anyways has anyone had any experience with these "rev limiters" i would like to set them so my bike will not rev past 8k RPM as i think i just blew a oil seal because of revving it too high on accident.

I think your mistaken.....look at your book again.

Those carb adjustments arent "rev limiters"......they are either fuel/air mixture screws or idle adjustment.

they are called "limiter caps" they are to prevent people from being able to tamper with the pilot screws too much.
