I recently had new front brake pads installed on my BMW R1100ST and the brake fluid replaced by the dealer. When I apply the brakes it feels soft and the brake lever travels about halfway to the grip. When I pull the handle again it feels better(more braking) and a third time it's real firm. I remember it being firm on the first pull before the service. Either my memory is failing me or there's air in the line or ? Cruzindude

bleed them again, or if you're not sure or don't have the stuff to do it, I would find a good independent shop...sounds to me like the dealer didn't do a very good job of it

It is a good practice when, after having brake work done and the brakes do not perform satisfactorily, to turn right around and go back to shop you just paid to do brakes.
Any work. If it doesn't seem right, go straight back to the guy who did it or a manager and say "Is that right?" Why pay another shop to redo the work you just paid to have done? |
