Partial MSF Course Reimbursement?

Hey everyone,

So I am signing up for my class here soon, and I have heard rumors that there is a way to get a part of your MSF class paid for or reimbursed. It was through ABATE or something I think. Is this true or just a rumor?

That depends on where you take the course.

The state sponsored courses in Illinois refund the cost of the course minus a $3 application fee.

You can check with your local MSF course provider to see if there is a similar program in place there.

I live in Minnesota. Is there a way to look it up online?

A quick search here led me to find that certain bike manufactures will reimburse part if not all the cost. Some dealers will give a discounted price if you buy from them. Ask when you go to class, the coach will know the info and if your state does this if you did not buy new.

In Michigan, the state pays for all but $25 of the cost which is good as I think the course is like $300 and its amazing 'cause the state of Michigan is broke as ****.
