Default Bluetooth helmets

Ever want to ride and listen to music or be able to make phone calls? This can easily be accomplished with one of the many bluetooth helmets on the market now. While the idea of a motorcycle helmet fitted with bluetooth is not a new, in the past few years, a wide variety of helmets have become available with this feature.

Bluetooth helmets offer a rider the freedom to answer and place calls, all from a simple keypad on the side of the helmet. Music can be streamed in from a mobile device as well. Pending you have a bluetooth enabled phone, the rest is simple enough. A wide variety of brands are available to riders with unique and exciting features. Searching online I found that O'neal, Vega, HJC, Shark and Suomy are just a few available brands. Some helmets even allow for rider to rider communication by pairing the helmets together. No longer do you and a passenger have to ride in silence. While the operation of all the helmets is generally the same, battery life and the helmets individual features are something to be considered. So next time you are out helmet shopping, or simply want to be able to communicate while on the road. Consider one of the many bluetooth helmets available.

I owned a Blutek bluetooth helmet a while back. I ended up selling it because I found that I didn't want to be distracted by the outside world while riding.

I'm content with my ear buds on occasion to listen to tunes. I couldn't take business calls anyway and riding is one of my escapes.

is a good idea, i think that maybe because im new in this, but you still need to be communicated and dont have to stop to answer the phone, im not saying talk all the way but at lease know what is the call about it, and say..i cannot talk right know, the only thing is...maybe you dont need to have the best expensive quality, to invest in.. im looking in ebay.com,craigslist.org or buysellorpawn.com to see the best options

I bought a scala headset 2 pack to stick in my helmet, and the helmet of a passenger when I start riding with one eventually. Only time I use it is if I'm following someone so we can stay together. Otherwise I just listen to the sweet sounds of the wind usually. Don't want to be distracted from the ride.

Wonder how popular these helmets will be with cops if we get a national ban on cell phone usage while operating a motor vehicle? Just saying they may be an easy target for cops is all. I've not seen one so I don't know if they easily distinguished from a non blue tooth version. Doesn't matter to me, I'm all for the cell phone ban anyway. There just may be a bunch of obsolete helmets available.

You can't really tell a difference unless you are holding it. Then a cop would have to prove you were using to anyway.
