I've been wanting to check out the Yamaha TMAX. It's similar to the one pictured above, but beefier tires and beefier engine. It's almost 500cc and weighs around 490 lbs.

It's not out yet in my area. Been looking at motorcycles, but this scooter caught my eye. Can't post a pic because I'm a noob, but a general search for Yamaha TMAX should give you some pics.

www.yamaha-motor.com has a list of the '09 scoots, I haven't seen them personally but I think they're US versions. Doesn't look as good as the Indo's but they got bigger tires

Lol! That's a big scooter! What I posted above is not more than 120cc I think

The TMax is scheduled to be released on August 1st although many different dealers already have some in stock and are preparing them for the release. I was in Lynnwood Motoplex (WA) this morning and was able to check one out.

They really look a whole lot sportier than the Majesty, although the Majesty has a bit more storage space.

Had I waited a little bit, I would have gotten the TMax instead of the Majesty, but I am overall happy with the Majesty.

Its really tough to get a maxi scooter these days so the TMax should sell very quickly.

Here's the TMAX that I was talking about. Now that I can post pics...

500cc
Fuel Injected
489 lbs
ABS brakes

That's one big scooter! Unfortunately although I like it it starts off at about $8,000.

Hmmm so what's the different between that scooter and a touring bike like the FJRs? One thing I notice is lower seat, but why this scoot instead of FJR like? (don't start with price )

The first difference I notice is the price.

Other then that I'd say the ABS brakes are a plus (not sure if the FJR has them), plus this ones an auto CVT transmission vs 5/6 speed. Slightly lighter than the FJR too.
