So what's the verdict? Are these dream machines or ridiculously excessive and ugly?

That's their crown jewel. 6200cc 445hp 445 Ft. Lbs. Torque. To me I think I'd like riding one just to do it, but it seems like it would be just a bit cumbersome. If you want that much power are you still riding a cruiser? What do you guys think?

I don't know, that thing just scares the hell out of me. When I was a freshman in HS, my buddies dad had one of these and I rode on the back of it. It's scary as hell and I never want to pilot one to be honest.

I'm sorry your right...I meant to say there is a distributor here in PA near us, they are built in TN.

I'm not sure what he got in his but he got his first one used, had if for awhile then he traded it in on a new one. If I can get a pic of it I will post it...weather ain't been nice enuff to ride yet.

I'm a big guy...6'-2" 330# so to me it fits right to me...so comfy...always wanted one and hope in the next 5 yrs or so I can get one...its just so unique and hardly anyone has any...its like its one high society....lol

445 hp is more grunt than any motorcycle will ever need. With the right rider, it'd probably beat a ZX14 down the drag strip.

With that much power, I'd think you'd need top-notch handling and brakes. Does this heavy beast offer all that?

Here's my favorite part: Warranty12 mo., unlimited miles excluding engine & drivetrain

Boss Hoss is built right here where I live. Dyersburg TN. They are nice people and will give you a tour of their small shop if you ask.

They also make trikes. If I am not mistaken the model that is pictured above is somewhere around $40K.

I think thats a little steep. They also have automatic trannys.

I'm 6' 7" tall and decided to look into Boss Hoss about 10 years ago because I wanted a bike better sized for me than most of the others I looked at. Harleys and GoldWings just did not fit. I looked at the used Boss Hoss and Kannon market and was able to ride several of each at that time. They are motorcycles and they are Cruisers. I found they handled better than I ever imagined they could. At the time these bikes were so far out of the mainstream they had to use a Firestone passanger car radial tire on the back because no tire manufacturer at the time made a motorcycle specific tire that could handle the weight and power of these bikes.

I liked the ride but I didn't really care for the bloated looks of these bikes and I couldn't justify the price in my mind. They handle just like a big cruiser handles and I wouldn't hesitate to ride one again, they are an experience. I eventually ended up with a Kawasaki Vulcan 2000 and it reminds me of the feel of the Boss Hoss and Kannons I rode. My stock Battlax on the Vulcan was severly overloaded and unsafe and I needed to find a tire with a higher load rating. I remembered back to how well the Firestone PCR had worked on the Boss Hoss and Kannons and found a similar High Performance Radial tire that would fit the Vulcan. It has worked just as well on the Vulcan as it did on the Boss Hoss. I'm glad I had the chance to experience riding these big V8 cruisers and was able to take advantage of what I learned to make my Vulcan safer for my wife and I to enjoy.
