I think it's an improvement, and I actually like the two-tone. I just can't help but think what an absolute PITA that thing must be to work on with all that cowling in the way. But it's brand new so you wouldn't have to work on it.

Still...I never got the whole tourer bike thing, but if you're into them, this one looks like it'd be pretty sweet

Not having seen one in person or being able to ride it around the parking lot,I have to say that I don't care for the new fairing on the sides. Also the rear end looks very odd.Like I said though, untill I see it up close and ride the thing I hold back opinion. When the GL1800 first came out I didn't think that I would like it.But when we got the first one and I assembled it then tried it arouind the parking lot,I realized that it was going to be good. Time will tell,we will be getting some in soon.

I think your crazy to say the 2 tone looks bad. I got the 2012 black and silver one and EVERYONE says how it is the sharpest looking wing they ever seen. My opinion is the solid color is nice but kind of bland untill its dressed with chrome accents to make it pop. The 2 tone pops without doing anything to it. BEAUTIFUL bike seeing it in person. I have harley friends that even wow over it. Pull in anywhere and people are looking at it saying they love the looks of it and wouldnt mind having one. Amazing having dedicated harley guys saying things like that. Alot of older 1800 wingers i ride with love it as well.

And as far as the back end goes, its taste for change. My wife and I like it. It is different than the other 1800 same old same old look. I think honda done a great job in the look of the bike. As for features, sure and electric windscreen would be nice as well as some minor little things. Motor wise I love the 1800. Power, speed, reliability is all there rather than going to another motor hoping it will prove itself as excellent as the 1800 is. My 2 cents anyways
