Finding riding buddies ....

I am finding it hard to find riding buddies. I am new to street/cruising bikes, I'm self employed so I don't really have to be around the public all that much. My wife who rides with me has people in her office that ride, BUT I have a feeling their life style and ours are just a little, no a LOT different. I don't mind some1 that has a drink or a beer but when they get wasted, well that's another story...with that said, I guess I might have to buy my wife a bike to have some1 to ride with....I have posted on facebook we are looking for friends to ride with, even did a search to see if there was a local ride for charity or a riding club, but no luck.....:smiley_mornincoffee such is the life in a small country town I guess....

Go to http://www.meetup.com/ and try to search in your local area. You will be able to find tons of meet up group where people organize a great riding event.

3 weeks back one of my meet up group had riding event and we had 40+ sports bike riders. We went for 100 miles twisties with 3 breaks and it was awesome I met some great riders.

Meet up is a great place to find any outdoor activity you are interested in.

Good luck.

cheers!!

KM, thanks for the link, unfortunately several of the rides this month has been canceled because of storms 4/27, BUT I have the link and can keep a check. there is 1 ride the Coal Fest in Brilliant Al on the 28th that I will make, the family it is helping lost everything + 2 children died in the fire, the dad was in ICU at UAB Burn center for over a month.....the Niel Sellman Family is from my home town of Hamilton so this is a must for my wife and I.
